Quirky but friendly, characterful family...

Liked: Good location. Handy for tram
Disliked: Tram noise all night

Liked: Basic, but large and clean rooms.
Disliked: My first night i had a room on the street side of the hotel, on the first floor. The tram noise was very disturbing and i only slept during the time the tram was not circulating, from 1-4am. I changed room for the second night to the other side of the hotel, where everything was fine.

My favourite hotel in Berlin

Liked: Fantastic location with M1 and 12 trams outside the door. Really charming family run hotel. Wonderful staff. Neighborhood gives you a sense of the real Berlin.

Liked: The location is gorgeous, the rooms have views of the chestnut trees and there are lots of trendy cafes and shops in the area. Good easy access to the rest of the city on foot or by tram.
Disliked: You do hear the tram from the bedroom but it’s a low sound. The hotel is outdated, from the 90s and therefore feels old fashioned and not in a good way. The breakfast was also rather bland and old fashioned but there was lots of nice German breads.
