Liked: The location was ideal and, despite being central, there was very little external noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room well-stocked, with efficient aircon. Trieste is a frenetic and occasionally exhausting city - the pedestrian crossings must be the slowest in Europe! - but our enjoyment of its many charms was enhanced by our stay. It's not a luxury hotel, but the reasonable price reflects this.
Disliked: Nothing of significance - perhaps a more comfortable chair in the room would have been helpful, but it was no big deal for a three-night stay. We were surprised that it was necessary to hand in the key at reception every time we left the building - I can't recall the last time that this was required, despite being a frequent traveller. However, this caused no problems in practice as reception was open 24/7.
