Hotel Iron Mountain Inn & Suites

Lovely couple runs a nice...

Liked: The owners were very nice and provided great service. The rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and other necessities.
Disliked: The lock on a door had trouble unlocking so they gave me a different room. The cable TV was not strong enough. It kept going in and out of connection.

Disliked: At check in the woman who checked me in photo copied both my ID AND credit card. This is bad practice. Also there seems to be no one in the office early in the morning and not accessible from the front. I had to go back to the key accessible door then walk through the hallway to the lobby to leave my keycard, no key drop box

Liked: There was NOTHING about this hotel that I liked!
Disliked: First of all it took me about 30min just to check in. The lobby was so hot I had to use a fan just to cool off! The First room/suite the toilet was broken, the second room/suite there was no water in toilet! Moved again into a small room, (I reserved and paid for a suite, he told me that it was the same price). There were no batteries in the smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector and the smoke alarm was just hanging from the ceiling. There was a refrigerator and microwave shoved in the corner by the door, unplugged and cords in front of door, that I tripped on. There was toothpaste splatter on the mirror and in sink along with hair and one towel in the bathroom! I asked for more towels and asked if they would bring the key (to the 3rd room) up to me. He said no, that I'd have to come down to the front desk (again), and get them myself. I said I wasn't going to do that, that I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep at which time he argued with me and said he was tired too!! Then at 3:00am the air conditioning went out! I haven't listed everything that was wrong with this stay, I simply don't have time. But, when I asked for some kind of discount for all the inconvenience and for the smaller room, he said no! I checked in to this hotel at approximately 10:00pm and finally (after changing rooms three times and dealing with all the other things) went to sleep at 2:30am! I had to get up early for my son's wedding the next day. I would NEVER stay there again, in fact, you couldn't pay me to stay there! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!

Disliked: Bed bug was crawling across the pillow upon entering my room, so I had to find somewhere else to stay the night of.
