Liked: The hotel is well-located in the city center, just a short walk to Liberty Square, and it's convenient to reach Brno hlavní nádraží via Tram No. 4 or No. 9. The room itself was clean and tidy, but the design choice of a rectangle glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom was puzzling. This setup made it difficult to use the bathroom light at night without disturbing others in the room. On the other hand, keeping the light off made the bathroom too dark and somewhat unsafe for night use.Breakfast was adequate—nothing outstanding but sufficient to start the day.Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with the booking process. I had reserved two non-refundable rooms, but due to a serious personal emergency (the passing of a travel companion’s father), we informed the hotel two weeks before check-in that one room would not be needed. Despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel and even assistance from Booking.com, we received no response. When we arrived, the hotel still assigned us two rooms and maintained a strict no-refund policy. While I understand the non-refundable terms, the lack of response and empathy in such a difficult situation was disappointing and felt uncompassionate.In summary, while the location and cleanliness were good, the hotel’s rigid handling of an unfortunate circumstance left a poor impression.
