Very good

Liked: Thought it was quirky the breakfast was good
Disliked: I reported that a curtain in room 129 had come off in places was told it would be reported to house keeping ,it was still hanging when we left on Friday .I would have liked it if the room had been cleaned for when we got back in the afternoon,we had to wait outside the room while the cleaners were in,also the floor was not cleaned from the time we arrived till the time we left.

Comfortable and friendly stay

Liked: The location was perfect. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and catered well for my gluten free diet. Rooms and decor were outstanding.

A nice hotel, great location

Liked: The room was clean & beds very comfy. When the staff engaged they were very friendly, when we arrived staff were initially looking at computers. I appreciate it is a digital world but can staff have time to welcome visitors - I appreciate they are busy. The disadvantage to a screen is people tend to look at it! When they did engage & say hello they were all lovely & friendly. The breakfast staff were friendly & welcoming.The hotel location was great - a nice walk into town.
Disliked: The breakfast was average. I mentioned some items weren't cooked. Staff were responsive & helpful. There was a good range of breads & pastries but the fruit was limited & cooked items not as good as other IHG I have stayed at. The breakfast dishes were left to pile up & we had to clear used plates etc to make space for the next part of the meal. At times we had to clear the table ourselves!

Great Hotel, Modern rooms and...

Liked: The hotel location was good, the staff were all really friendly and professional. We stayed for my fiancée's birthday which I'd mentioned when I added some extras to the room. When we arrived in our room they'd also put birthday balloons in the room as well as left a message to say happy birthday which was lovely. The breakfast was great with lots of choice and the staff were all really attentive. I'd definitely stay here again. The off site car park is also a god send in York.
Disliked: Nothing.
