Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just steps from Earl’s Court Station, meaning late-night Tube rides back after a gig are no hassle. With direct access to Heathrow via the Piccadilly Line, you can roll into London and be gig-ready in no time. The neighborhood is peaceful but central—ideal for fans who want to wind down after the show. A 3:00 PM check-in gives you time to arrive and freshen up, while the 11:00 AM checkout is perfect for sleeping in after a late night.

  • Couples making it a romantic concert weekend
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery spot without sacrificing access
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want boutique perks without splurging

Food and Drink Options

You won’t go hungry here. Theo’s Simple Italian serves up fresh, comforting meals onsite—ideal for a pre-concert bite or post-show carb refuel. There are also dozens of eateries and late-night options within a 10-minute walk. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel’s central location makes it easy to grab something nearby, and breakfast is available for those who need a slow start to the morning.

Nightlife Options

You're in a sweet spot for nightlife. Stroll to nearby pubs and lounges in Kensington or hop on the Tube to Soho or Camden for a late-night scene. Want to keep it low-key? Enjoy a relaxing drink in the hotel’s cozy bar with a local craft gin or wine.

What People Say

Guests rave about the convenient location, especially the proximity to the Tube and music venues. The stylish rooms and complimentary mini-bar are big hits. Many highlight the quiet neighborhood as a great place to recharge after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that the rooms can feel a bit compact, especially if traveling with lots of luggage. Others mention that while the area is peaceful, it may not have the late-night buzz of other London neighborhoods—though that’s a plus for many.

The Bottom Line

With boutique charm, unbeatable transport links, and a peaceful Kensington location, Hotel Indigo London - Kensington is a top pick for music fans wanting both style and convenience.

Would not stay there again.

Liked: The hotel is nicely decorated and in a great location. The bathroom in my hotel room was large. Wifi was fine and the ability to cast to the TV was good (when it worked, which was 50/50).
Disliked: Upon checking in with a heavy suitcase, I was allocated a room only accessible down a narrow steep staircase. I requested a different room, and was allocated a small room directly opposite the lift. The bed was right by the door, so I slept with my head only a few metres from the opening and closing doors of the lift. There was very little room to move around the bed. The pillows were flimsy. After I checked out, I was charged for an extra night for no apparent reason. Eventually after calls to Indigo and to booking.com customer service, I called the front desk directly and spoke to someone who immediately recognised I had been over charged and agreed to arrange a refund.

Pleasant

Liked: Location was great - very close to the tube, restaurants, etc.
Disliked: Breakfast was average.Extremely uncomfortable bed - hard and very high. At first the room we got was much smaller than what we ordered (Premium Queen Room - the size was not as advertised in booking.com!), especially for 2 grown ups and a child. It was located behind the bar (!) and was street-level (i.e. zero privacy for women, and not being able to open the window to air the room, which smelled very musty!).We immediatly asked to move to a different room, and got charged an extra fee for it (10 gbp for each night of our stay, despite the second room being in the same "price range" that we originally ordered and paid for). Second room was in need of renovation - everything creaked horribly (the queen bed, the folding bed for the child, the floor, wardrobe etc) but it was "better" than the first one which was terrible. Then a few nights later we were moved to a different room (because the room below had a leak). It was a huge inconvenience to pack and repack everything for 3 - I would have expected the hotel to "upgrade" us to a slightly better room, or at the very least to offer to waive the ridiculous "extra fee" - they did neither. The staff were very nice and polite, but all in all, It was bad value for money for us and an unpleasent stay.
