Disliked: We expected the breakfast to be of higher quality. My husband didn't eat his because it was not good enough. It doesn't match the standing of the hotel.

A fantastic and beautiful hotel...

Liked: It is a beautifully appointed and appealingly quirky place to stay, extremely well located in relation to the train station and right on Edinburgh’s Princes St. The staff were wonderfully helpful and attentive - reception when I arrived and on check out in the morning, and at breakfast (in that magnificent dining room). My roomwas upgraded to a city view (spectacular) and I just LOVED the fact that I had a walk-in shower in my room rather than a shower over a bath; as occurs in so many other UK hotels. I ordered room service for my evening meal and the Caesar salad was so delicious!
Disliked: Nothing - it was wonderful and I will be staying there again.

Liked: We were greeted on arrival with a very cheerful and helpful receptionist, we arrived early with our bags and I enquired as to whether we could drop them off and return later to check in. Best of all our room was ready, this was 11.30! So we managed to drop them off with no extra charge, massive bomus.
Disliked: There wasn't a lot to dislike!

Liked: the location is pretty good，and the room is very quiet and clean.
Disliked: The lift is quite small but it is not a very big problem.
