Good location and staff, but...

Liked: Pros:- the staff was very polite and helpful. They helped me to organize a B-day gift and deliver the balloons I ordered in advance to the room to surprise my spouse when we checked in. Thanks to the team!- the location is good, you're close to the metro station and live next to the ferry port.- there are good restaurants nearby.- nice view from the windows.*however keep in mind that this view you get due to the height, so in case you arrive by metro/train you need to climb fairly steep stairs to reach the hotel.- there is a restaurant and a bar inside the building.
Disliked: Cons: - the size of the room is too small, as well as the bathroom. - for two days we had our sink clogged up. - the pillows were very flat, so we needed to request extra ones, otherwise got pain in the neck.- I enjoy being warm, but the room was getting too hot inside, and I was unable to turn the heating (or climate control) down, so there was only one way - open the windows at night.

Exceptional

Disliked: When checked in the reception personnel made a card authorization on my credit card. During check out we paid the final amount with two different cards. I asked the front desk lady, what will happen to the original card authorization. She answered that it will disappear automatically immediately . It took almost two weeks to get original card authorization away from my credit card account. Because of that, I had to make some arrangements concerning my holiday costs.

Liked: The hotel is located very central in Hamburg. There is good parking in the area. No EV chargers at the hotel as far as I could see but there chargers in the neighborhood. The breakfast is very good.

A nice hotel somewhat past...

Liked: The bar/restaurant downstairs offers great views & service, and my room overlooked the river.
Disliked: Overall the hotel looked a bit run down ... e.g. the fake leather on the chair in my room was torn. Not a big deal in itself, but paradigmatic for the experience. The bar looked freshly renovated though.

Liked: Great location overlooking the harbour. Short walk to the Reeperbahn. Hotel very traditional.
Disliked: Room very basic and small for the high price. Bland, boring view of the courtyard car park area.
