In the heart of Bruges less than half a mile from Market Square and the Belfry this family-run hotel is in an old mansion house that dates back to 1858. It features free Wi-Fi a bike rental service and a bar. All rooms at Hotel Groeninghe are equipped with a TV a sitting area as well as free tea and coffee facilities. Each has a private bathroom with a shower. Every morning guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet. The Groeninghe also has a bar where you can try the local beers. Restaurants shops and supermarkets are within an easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Bruges Train Station and Bruges' Tourist Office is conveniently located just around the corner. The historic center of Ghent is a 35-minute drive away.

We had a great stay...

Liked: Location was great, within walking distance of the train station, restaurants and tourist attractions. Our room was very comfortable with all that we required. Shower was great.A large shared lounge downstairs with comfortable sofas and chairs, great for relaxing in after a day sightseeing.Friendly host who made us feel at home and took time to discuss restaurants and places to visit.
Disliked: Nothing, all good.

Lovely 2 nights in Bruges.

Liked: Location was great, well tended hotel by Laurence who was very helpful with recommendations on what to do, see and restaurants...and what to avoid while in Bruges.Place was clean with comfy beds, super close to the heart of the old town.We really enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: Can get a little noisy because of the restaurant diagonally across the Hotel..we there on the weekend, also crowd dependent and not the hotels fault in any way.

Brilliant hotel - 10/10!

Liked: This hotel is perfect. The location is ideal - walkable to everywhere, very central but still quiet. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful, giving us lots of useful tips on places to go and see. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a cosy and relaxing place to stay.
Disliked: Nothing!

In Bruges

Liked: The hotel is located in the heart of Bruges, one street back from the main shopping strip. I was able to explore the area easily from my hotel as well as find plaenty of places to eat.
Disliked: The stairs were very steeeo, especially after a long day of walking.

Lovely location, good view, nice...

Liked: Location was excellent, right in the historic centre of Bruges. Nearby bakery was fantastic.
Disliked: It was a little hard to find, tucked away down a quiet street, but google maps helped with that. But that area is a rabbit warren of streets. No obvious option to "do not disturb". No option to have assistance with bags up to 3rd floor for someone with a cane. Not handicap friendly

Liked: Perfect location to get anywhere you need to go. Approx 10mins to main square and station. Shops and restaurants all nearby. The lady on reception was very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area, very helpful on where to go, what to see. Good to do a walking tour the first day then you can decide what you want to spend more time doing.
Disliked: Hostel next door a little noisy at night unfortunately. The hotel is a little old fashioned so not for you if you prefer modern and sleek rather than quaint.
