Liked: Location - being very close to a tram line and a U bahn made transport to and from the hotel very easy. The situation near the Gedenkstätte Documentation Centre was fascinating, so much history. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel garden was wonderful, a peaceful and beautiful oasis.

What a great place and...

Liked: The garden is a green oasis in the heart of Berlin. So much so that we preferred to sit in it rather than go sightseeing all the time. Somebody loves and cares for this garden. The hotel itself is most comfortable, has fine breakfasts, good evening meals and spacious rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no aircon in the bedrooms but that’s ok with the fan. Altogether a very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Nice hotel in the middle...

Liked: Good location for exploring Berlin. Nice staff.
Disliked: Wanted to have a parking space for our . Said it was available with parking. Unfortunately the staff said it was probably full. So we had to stand on the street. They could probably have done a little more to help us with parking. Breakfast was okay but not the best. Not much to choose from. Coffee was good.

Disliked: No place to sit nicely in de evening outside your room with other guest.

Don't trust BOOKING.COM room description

Liked: Location is good if you want to see the remains of the Berlin Wall.
Disliked: BOOKING.COM listed the room as 3 single beds for 3 adults. I only booked this room because it wasn't a trundle bed. But it WAS a trundle bed and it was BROKEN. My friend ended up sleeping ON THE FLOOR. Hotel blamed BOOKING.COM, they both did nothing. I'm never trusting BOOKING.COM again.
