Liked: Oooof. The bed was comfortable. The front desk was kind but did not have a lot of authority to make decisions. The guy at the bar was kind.
Disliked: Well... we weren't able to get into our room until 630pm, and check in was listed as 3pm. Rooms were not clean and they had to turn us away.. offering either a full cancellation refund or $20 off mini bar snacks (no alcohol). We had no other place to go...i had a minor with me and evening plans in walking distance from hotel, so we could not cancel. I requested a room with natural light. We were given an interior room with little to no natural light. Our room had blood droplets on the floor, so I complained. They graciously gave us a new roo, but I felt guilty as they said they were taking this room from someone els, but wou l d "figure it out". The new room was still interior facing but slightly larger with 2 beds wish l which ultimately was better for my son and I. I appreciate the upgrade. My son went to the bathroom and locked himself inside, had to call front desk for a flathead screw driver to get him out. They left the screw driver with us as this is not uncommon. Early morning noise... lots of slamming of doors. The bed was lovely so able to deal. Check out at 11... they were unable to give me a receipt upon checkout. Receipt came later in the day at 430pm. I have stayed here several times. While convenient, seems like there is an issue every time.

Disliked: Lots of street noise in first room I was in, moved yo another room second night and it was much better.

Liked: The sheets were so soft, as were the towels and robe provided for the stay. The staff was.attentive and helpful.
Disliked: It was hard to reach things on the bedside table because it is behind the bed.

Charming Stay, Outstanding Service

Liked: Raleigh at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. She did a fantastic job accommodating my room preferences, helping with my key cards, and offering genuinely helpful suggestions. I felt truly welcomed and safe throughout my stay.I stayed in three different rooms during my visit, and each one was beautiful - designed in the same elegant and contemporary style. The entire team was warm and friendly, and my room was wonderfully quiet.The hotel itself has a unique charm, and the lobby, in particular, is stunning. I also appreciated how safe the space felt. The location is ideal for travellers without a car. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Contemporary Designer Hotel in...

Liked: The employees were very welcoming and lovely. My room was quiet. I also really like the style of the hotel! Contemporary design, built in 1907. Especially the lobby is beautiful. It also felt very safe. The location is perfect for travellers without a car. You can easily walk (30mins) to the city centre, downtown, take public transport to other areas or explore Hawthorne.
