Liked: The location was superb for public transport, with the tram literally across from the front door, and U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations very close. There were plenty of cafés and bard nearby, and supermarkets within ten minutes or so. I found the ubiquitous prevalence of graffiti disagreeable. It is noisy with traffic and people, popular with young people and ‘alternative’. The fire safety of the building would concern me. The corridors were cramped, confusing and confined, and although both exit points to the stairs were marked, they would have been in total darkness in the event of electrical failure.The room was adequate but small. The receptionist was efficient and reasonably friendly. Noise was a problem, with loud music being played within other rooms till late at night. As mentioned in the advertisement, there is no lift, which - if you were not very mobile, or carrying heavy bags, is potentially a considerable problem. Bed linen was good. There was abundant hot water, but a very tiny shower cubicle.Overall, the place was what you might expect for the cost.
Disliked: Improved lighting in the corridors would be a benefit, with indications on the walls giving directions to which room numbers were in which direction. Poor fire safety an issue for me.
