Superb

The Giraffe is my first...

Liked: The location is superlative. There is easy access to the subway at 28th street, which makes public transportation an option. The hotel is well appointed with a friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

Good

Liked: Very clean and good condition. Lovely staff.Refreshment in the lobby all day.
Disliked: The woman in charge on breakfast could be more pleasant even when we mistakenly took out the wrong toast bread out of the toaster.

We all agreed we’d stay...

Liked: Great location, close to plenty of attractions, nice and quiet, lovely fresh flowers around the hotel.
Disliked: Snacks available all day, fine, but felt slightly disappointed, hotel information made it sound like there would be great variety and even a wine evening, it was very basic offerings.Also the outside space on the 12th floor is disappointing, no bar to get a drink, felt like a place to have a smoke really.Breakfast was fairly basic.

Perfect location in a very...

Liked: This is a lovely hotel the staff are so helpful nothing is too much bother. The rooms were very clean and for NYC they are spacious with a balcony for access to light and air. Lots of extras as breakfast is included making mornings a great get up and go experience with no necessity to stop and/or find somewhere. The breakfast is very good. There is a roof top space too perfect for morning coffee, afternoon or evening drinks. We stayed in 2 rooms as a multi generational family and we had the best time. We have paid significantly more in NYC for a hotel and Hotel Giraffe is definitely the most comfortable, enjoyable, well placed and value for money. We loved it.
