Liked: Staff were pleasant and helpful ! Location is close to center and attractions !
Disliked: Hotel did not meet my expectations for the price ! Cramped closed feeling in hotel .

Florence and Hotel Gioia

Liked: Stayed for two nights at this lovely small hotel. The location is amazing, within walking distance to pretty much everything in Florence and near many great restaurants.The staff was absolutely first-class. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind, gentle, and helpful. It's clear that nothing is too much trouble for them.The rooms were spacious, very clean, and had excellent amenities, including superb, modern showers and a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning and WiFi were also great.Breakfast was a nice touch, and I appreciated how they spaced it out to avoid a mad rush.I fully recommend this hotel if you are planning a visit to Florence. I would definitely book here again on a return visit to Florence.

Liked: It was clean and the service was especially amazing, very friendly! The hotel is located directly in the middle of all these beautiful attractions and across the street from a minimarket. Right next to the trams going to the airport. The A/C is fantastic and a lifesaver!
Disliked: Very small rooms. Furniture in the rooms was cheap and uncomfortable (except the bed/mattress!). No good place to sit and lounge, or sit and read as the upright chair was especially uncomfortable. No good desk space. I frequently had to interact with one specific person at reception who was on his phone in face-time with friends and family seemingly all of the time, on speaker mode at full volume. Not only was it very loud, but he never paid attention or helped, like when I asked him to let me know when the cleaning service was done in my room (I had to go up from the lobby and check myself many times). The rest of the receptionists were super helpful and friendly and so was all the rest of the cleaning and kitchen staff.

Liked: Close to all the major sites, shopping and fine restaurants. The bathroom was very roomy with a full size shower. The beds were comfy.Very modern decor. Staff was excellent, the breakfast was great, very extensive selections. And there's an elevator!
Disliked: Curtains in the room let in too much light. No view.
