Santiago again!

Liked: This not our first-nor last-visit to Hotel Gelmirez. Everything was up to our high expectations -position,friendly and professional staff,breakfast.
Disliked: It is not the fault of the hotel that some of the other guests were less than careful about the noise they made.

Lovely modern hotel

Liked: We arrived very late. The receptionist was lovely. She spoke excellent English, and was very helpful. The venue was close to the centre, but also a short walk from the train and bus stations. The beds were comfortable. Had a nice breakfast in the cafeteria on the first floor ( good value/ nice staff/ clean and bright/ good selection). Would stay here again.

Disliked: No coffee facilities. Slightly more expensive than other Camino accommodation along the route.

Not comfortable enough to book...

Liked: Reception team were lovely and the ability to leave bags securely on the day of departure was much appreciated.
Disliked: The room was quite disappointing. Very spartan and basic. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable for my sleeping style (side sleeper) and than meant I did not get a good nights sleep on either night.

Quiet and comfortable

Liked: Modern hotel with excellent staff, good facilities, large room and quiet. Yet only three short blocks from the old town. Just what you need after finishing the Camino.
