Liked: Location was good. The room is very spacious and clean and had all the amenities.
Disliked: Some of the staff members were not very friendly.I had two long flights from Brisbane, Australia to Miami and I arrived early in the morning. I went to the property to talk to someone at least to leave my luggage (I had 3) until I was able to check in. There was a security guy (a black American guy) who was so rude and who didn’t even talk to me decently. He straight away said that I didn’t have a booking which made me really anxious. He was not helpful at all. (I personally believe he is a homophobic straight guy who does the job just because he needs the job)I was very disappointed and I was very tired and I hung around. Went back and saw a staff member and was able to leave my luggage in a locker however I felt like the staff did not try to help me with a little early check in (they should have understood my situation) and at the end (close to 4.00 pm) I went back and asked whether I can have my room and I am happy to pay any extra for early check in. I felt like they held the room until it was closer to 4.00 though they had it vacant. This was not what I expected especially after travelling all the way from Australia. Quite disappointed.

A gay old time

Liked: We loved the warm gay welcome and friendly atmosphere. The trivia quiz in the evening was good fun. Lots of nice touches (e.g. the whiteboards outside the rooms).
Disliked: Breakfast was adequate but more options might have been nice. The elevator was quite slow to arrive whenever we called it? Room was slightly unclean when we arrived (some nail clippings...) but pretty good. Would stay again!
