Somewhat More Style Than Substance

Liked: Convenient location. Quiet. Clean. Stylish decor. Lovely high windows in room.
Disliked: Unbelievably, no plugs next to bed on either side, and a lack in the room - thoughtless, inconvenient and surprising, especially in an expensive hotel. Rather dark and windowless bathroomPlace lacked energy and character.

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Security was an issue for me. No key card required for elevator, no doorman, desk staff inattentive or absent when we returned to hotel after 10 pm. Gym is literally in a closet. No individual room a/c control so was warm. We had our son with us - rooms have very little privacy so be aware. Also, the hotel seemed to struggle with accommodating an extra person and charged $80 for a rollaway bed. Service at breakfast was lackluster.

A great hotel to experience...

Liked: The location and the helpful, friendly attitude of the staff. A hidden gem in the centre of Montreal.
Disliked: Restocking the room with tea and coffee.

Liked: Absolutely incredible experience. From the friendliness of the staff to the location and the beauty of the rooms - we loved every minute. It's my 5th time over there and still I am impressed with the hotel. Good job everyone!

Liked: Immaculately clean, very nice and friendly staff, good breakfast options. The room was spacious, with a high ceiling, a good desk and a coffee maker.
Disliked: 1. Terrible AC system that cannot be turned off at all. Moreover, the air vent slit is right over the headboard, blowing at you during the night. Any normal person will catch a cold that way. 2. The bed is located next to the wall shared with the bathroom. The toilet is right on the other side of the wall from the headboard, which is not the best location if you are not alone in the room. Also, the toilet tank was issuing weird whimpering sounds when filling up, which added to the night entertainment. 3. The sliding door leading to the bathroom is loud. We had to keep it partially open to avoid waking each other up during the night. 4. The bed mattresses were hard as concrete slabs. I am a side sleeper, and couldn't have a decent night rest at all. 5. The gym is clean, but it's the size of a broom closet. 6. Steps at the entrance prevent comfortable luggage loading/unloading.Overall, it's a grand old building unsuitable for a hotel.

Liked: Extremely comfortable bed, large rooms, lovely welcome treat, very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable late checkout policy.
Disliked: The bathroom, while huge overall, had a rather small shower cubicle which could have been a bit larger. Nitpicking really.
