Fantastic location in an old...

Liked: Great location within walking distance to train station and tourist attractions. Helpful staff with suggestions for things to see and do. Nice restaurant and bar in hotel. Really quiet rooms with comfy bed and good shower. Prosecco at check in with biscuits and chocolates in room which was a really nice touch. Lovely building too. Plenty of great independent coffee bars close by for breakfast.

Good but could be excellent...

Liked: Excellent, quiet location just minutes from the historic centre. Lovely big bathroom with good lighting. Large comfortable bed with top quality linens.
Disliked: Room was in the eaves so it felt a bit oppressive. This effectively shrinks the space as part is not full head height. Made us feel we had drawn the short straw for a deluxe room. There was no wardrobe in the room (whoever heard of that in a five-star hotel?) and the only mirror was a small one in the bathroom. Poor lighting in bedroom. Underfloor heating in bathroom not working properly so v cold.
