Exceptional

Liked: Everything was excellent throughout, and our dinner in the onsite restaurant was AMAZING.

Historical, beautiful and comfortable.

Liked: Modern, clean, and comfortable. Lots of great history, and beautiful renovations. Loved how they incorporated the history of the hotel into the decor and aesthetics. Would gladly stay here again in Des Moines!

Cozy, grand historic hotel in...

Liked: Loved the building. Staff was great. Really nice rooms with high ceilings, big windows. Great shower and cozy bathroom.
Disliked: The smoke detector in our room flashed every few seconds and the light was kind of annoying. Apparently they can't turn off.

Disliked: Parking in parking garage and paying $10 bucks a day

Liked: Location nice…found it a food desert as there were no stores, drug stores, etc. Drs Moines has the cleanest downtown I’ve ever been to.
Disliked: Although the shower was excellent, the shower floor was very slippery when initially wet. Very easy to fall. The hotel needs to do something about it. It’s an accident waiting to happen.
