Liked: We loved everything about Hotel Fitzroy. From the check in to the beautiful room, breakfast, staff, location etc etc we will definitely go back next time we’re in Auckland. Thank you for all the attention to detail and hospitality.

Five star service and amenities...

Liked: Eric and the rest of the staff at the Fitzroy were exceptional. They were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally well appointed. Beautiful linens, thick towels and heavy robes and slippers. Heated floors and towel racks in the bathroom. Dyson hair dryers and high quality shampoos/conditioners/soap/lotions. The beds were very comfortable and lighting was on dimmers. We had a really nice breakfast delivered to our room/porch every morning and the price was included in the rate. In addition there was "happy hour" from 4PM-9PM in the sitting room and canapés also included in the price. The staff also arranged for our transport to the airport. Convenient location a block from the shops/restaurants in Ponsonby. Top notch experience!
Disliked: The rooms were on the smaller side, especially with excess luggage.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Complimentary happy hour canapés and wine. Quiet neighbourhood with a short walk to restaurants and shops and less than half hour walk to the wharf.
