Hotel Faubourg Montreal Centre Ville Downtown

After walking to find the hotel, we stopped to ask directions from a different hotel, which turned out to be the Holiday Inn Express except they changed names and failed to notify us before hand. The wifi wouldn't work even though the front desk tried to fix it. The room was disappointing as well considering the price we paid. We would not return or recommend anyone to stay there.

Would definitely book this hotel...

Liked: Really appreciated the upgrade option offered prior to arrival! I’ve never had a hotel do that before. Even though it was not guaranteed- it was great to be able to request an upgrade of choice for a minimal fee. We were lucky it worked out and had a very nice suite.
Disliked: No complaints really.

Best value, view and space...

Liked: Spacious rooms and only steps away from old Montreal, festival locations and great food areas. The free breakfast is robust!! Rooms are clean and all the staff is friendly and helpful. Parked the car and walked everywhere easily.
Disliked: We love everything about this place!!

Overall good value. Comfortable stay...

Liked: Well located in the downtown Montreal area. Breakfast offering is good and the staff were helpful and polite even though they were handling lots of guests.
Disliked: They have not yet returned my refundable deposit (5 days later) but hopefully should come soon. Property looks and feels a bit dated.

Passable

Liked: Location was great and we could visit a lot of places in a walk distance and also close to the metro station.
Disliked: Breakfast, althoug is included, didn't have too many options, and since we stayed for 5 days, in the end of our staying, we ended up eating outside. The Floor carpet was very dusty, as well as the curtains. For me and my son was complicated, since we are very allergic.

Liked: The only good things are the location and the parking. The staff was friendly. Is not there fault that the property is that bad, they try there best and always have a good disposition.
Disliked: The rooms are horrible, dark, super dirty carpet, the bathroom with fungus, useless kitchen. The breakfast is not bad put the area si so small that the lines are huge and not enough tables. I understand that is cheaper than other hotels but is worthy to pay a bit more and have a more enjoyable experience somewhere else.
