Liked: the staff was really nice and the location was so central! i've stayed here a few times before and always get a room with a great view on the street. it's great value for the price you pay and is a cozy place to stay in paris

Historical charm in a great...

Liked: The location was amazing - close to a wonderful neighborhood and to the metro, plus the staff was very kind and accommodating of my traveling partner’s disability. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It’s an older building with some lovely charm - I especially liked the spiral staircase and the very small balcony. Oh! And the fact that they helped our bags on our check out day is so helpful!!
Disliked: I knew the hotel did not have A/C but with the unseasonably hot summer days, it was hard to cool down enough for sleeping. Taking cool showers at night helped, as did the provided fans. The room and bathroom are small…which I knew from other reviews. There is very limited floor space for anything but since we mostly only slept and showered in the room, that was ok.

Liked: Location was quite good.
Disliked: Everything about the hotel was as bad as can be. The lift was not always working. The stairs are not easy to climb. The rooms are very tiny and dirty. The bedding looks filthy and the towels smell. The lighting is poor as there is only one table lamp in the room. There is no air con and the table fan is not very effective. The window of our room looked out onto an area between some buildings that was not a pleasing sight. The shower cubicle was very small and the shower curtain kept touching the body on every move while showering. The shower operating handle kept getting pushed back down by the body when moving. The shower rail was loose and the shower rest would not stay put. I would not stay here again as it is horrible and expensive. I do not recommend it to anyone unless in a desperate situation to find a place to stay when nothing better is available.
