Liked: Reception gentleman was very friendly and helpful . Excellent inside secure bicycle storage . Immediately off walking area in Essen . Close to many restaurants and has on-site restaurant as well . Room very clean and quite modern . Bed was comfortable.Only one very small but helpful elevator in this large hotel makes transporting supplies upstairs a bit difficult.
Disliked: Our room 227 was at the end of a very dark hall and truly appeared to be a room devised to fill a quite narrow area of the hotel . It was very poorly designed and not overly comfortable although clean . Inadequate storage space

Liked: Comfortable hotel in city centre location. Room was great, comfy bed. The hotel is easy walking distance to everything in the city of Essen.
Disliked: I booked on the basis that there was secure parking for my motorcycle. There wasn't. The carpark the hotel has an arrangement with doesn't accept motorbikes, they should have known this. No one seemed to care and I had to park a very new and expensive bike on the street overnight.
