Disappointing

Liked: the housekeepers were nice
Disliked: check in. was giving keys to a room that wasn't even clean yet. elevator to go up stairs was super slow we opted to take the stairs every time we left. don't let there description fool you about there breakfast. doughnuts, oatmeal and yogurt is what they offer but if you don't go early enough they will run out of doughnuts. the coffee machine was great. we booked 6days but unfortunately our trip had to end a day early we were told that we weren't able to get a refund because we booked though booking,com. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. both the rooms we got were on the main street it was very noisy cars, homeless, garbage trucks street sweepers, police ambulances. the last night we were there there was a shooting. housekeeping wont clean your room unless you tell the front desk.

Nice hotel, but I would...

Liked: The property was clean, the staff were lovely, and the complimentary breakfast was a bonus
Disliked: The location. We stayed for three nights in total, and each morning we left the doors we were met with individuals using verbally abusive language towards us. This is no fault of the hotel, however I didn’t feel safe

Exceptional

Liked: The rooms were cute.
Disliked: The hallways smelled like Cats, no amenities in the smaller rooms. If you open some of the windows it will try and fall off. The toilet is flushed the opposite way & if you don’t flush it right it makes a noise.

Liked: The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Disliked: There was no refrigerator or kettle in the room. The breakfast was not very healthy and had very limited options. The area was very rough, and I did not feel very safe walking around the streets.

Exceptional

Liked: Clean & comfortable. I arrived very late due to flight delays but the hotel is staffed 24hrs. The room was basic, yet comfortable. The shower was amazing, great pressure that I really needed after a long day of travel. Good wifi, coffee available at reception & free breakfast. While I'm not a huge fan of donuts, when in the US just do it. They also held my bags all day while I saw the sights & I was able to relax in the downstairs lounge until it was time to head to the airport. While I've heard a lot of negative reviews about the Tenderloin, I felt perfectly safe. I walked to the station to take the train to the airport & had no issues. I wouldn't do this at night but that's the same anywhere in the world!
Disliked: I have nothing to complain about. It was perfect for me
