Emerline needs to get their...
Liked: The employees were very nice. Some did not have answers for certain things. The food was excellent. Good location.
Disliked: Price was excessive for what the hotel and room were like. Did not serve lunch, did not serve breakfast on Sunday. Only brunch at 10am and that did not work with a check out before 11am. Didn?t like noise level at the restaurant at night, though the food was excellent. Didn?t like that dogs were allowed at the hotel. Ran out of coffee on Sunday. Clerks couldn?t keep up and they were the closest breakfast available.

Awesome stay. Would definitely recommend...
Liked: Loved the location because it was on on the edge of everything. Easy to walk to shops, restaurants. I loved the noise inside of the hotel. Lots of people moving around. Loved the music playing throughout the hotel. Loved that it had a restaurant/bar area and a wonderful coffee shop inside the building too. Bonus! Also loved the record player with Al Green-Loved and Happiness playing. Played it every time I came back to room. How fun!! Unique touch!!
Disliked: Do not like to put 30.00 a day for parking-wish that was included. Our room had a sitting area and bedroom that were separated. I prefer an open room which seems bigger to me when it?s like that. Room was great but our window had no view. It looked out onto the roof. Not complaining just stating fact. Would have preferred a view but I know you have to pay more for that.

Liked: First of all, this is the cutest hotel ever! It?s in a great location, walking distance to everything in Charleston. The staff was very helpful and kind. We had breakfast at the restaurant each day and the food and service are both outstanding. I definitely recommend it and will stay there again.
Disliked: The only area that needs improvement is housekeeping. We arrived at 5:00 for a 4:00 check in and the room wasn?t ready until 5:30. The next morning we requested our room be cleaned before 2:00 so we would have fresh towels when we got back from sightseeing (Charleston in July is HOT!) but when we returned at 2:30, our room had not been cleaned. They brought clean towels but our room never got cleaned. We were only there for 2 nights so it was not a huge deal. Also, there is a labor shortage so I am sure they are doing the best they can.

Overall a great location and...
Liked: The location was great. Walking distance to everything. Hotel staff were very friendly.
Disliked: Housekeeping did not clean our room on two days of our stay. The hotel did the right thing and took off our charge of the room for the last night. We had to call several times to hotel staff regarding lights not operating properly and some other small issues. Hopefully the glitches were just a post pandemic staffing issue. Overall we liked the hotel and would stay here again.

Hotel is great! Restaurant hostess...
Liked: Brad the GM did a solid and corrected an issue I had. It was the right thing to do and I appreciated the guest recovery.
Disliked: Madison, the hostess at the restaurant was beyond rude. She was catty and childish. My friends and I (4ppl total) inquired about getting a table?it was 9pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not full. She told us the kitchen was closed. We left and as we were waiting for our uber, a couple arrived for their reservation. I inquired at the front desk what time the kitchen closed and they told me 10:30pm. I also discovered that even IF the restaurant was booked there was open seating on the patio where we could have ordered food. Our group had a difficult time finding a restaurant to go to and ended up eating chicken wings and french fries at 10:45pm. I understand covid measures, the stress of so much tourism etc but what I cannot understand is how rude Madison was to me and why she flat out lied. Bizarre. I hope she gets some training or just leaves hospitality all together?perhaps retail is a better industry. The hotel was great! Madison tainted the entire experience for me and my friends. Not worth the $550 per night. Next time Ill take my $ and stay at the Belmond.
