it’s OK and manageable if...

Liked: breakfast was good, but if you just wanted coffee, there was none provided
Disliked: The lobby was shut down early in the evening because they had no night staff the elevated jolted at every floor and you could not get to your room without the lights going off and struggling to find a button on the wall to turn the back ononly one staff member who sat in an office manage the property. One was kind the other stern and abrasive. no air-conditioning and no screens on the windows. A good fan was provided, but the the week we were in Birlin was very hot.

Liked: Larger older style rooms tastefully renovated in period style with newly renovated bathrooms.
Disliked: The hot water service in my room during my stay was erratic and seemingly impossible to tame, on my usage.

Superb

Liked: Beautifully designed, spacious room.
Disliked: Shower with a curtain instead of a door.

Mixed Experience – Beautiful Hotel...

Liked: hotel has some undeniable qualities — the room was spacious, very clean, and quiet, and the overall style of the place was charming
Disliked: The bed sheets were surprisingly small for a single bed not up to standard, even if this seems to be common practice in Germany.The curtains were not blackout at all, making it very hard to get proper rest.The hotel manager showed no responsiveness when I reported a serious issue with the shower, where water was stagnating.Breakfast was overpriced and disappointing — very basic for what is charged.

Great location and helpful staff

Liked: Great location! Nearby many restaurants and shops! Room was very clean! There were body lotion and shower cap in the room which was considerate. Our room has a lovely terrace. Nice!
Disliked: Since we visited in May, the weather is comfortable there. However, the room has no air conditioning and refrigerator.
