In a picturesque bay in the south of Skye this hotel has beautiful views over the Sound of Sleat and the distant hills of Knoydart. It is also home to the headquarters of the award-winning Gaelic Whiskey company. With log fires in its reception rooms and a wood-paneled dining room where you can enjoy candlelit dinners Hotel Eilean Iarmain retains many traditional features. Its hallway is decorated with stag antlers and a stuffed golden eagle. Rooms have wooden furnishings and some have open fireplaces. Each also features facilities for making tea and coffee and has scenic views from the windows. Suites also feature a TV. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The restaurant offers à la carte dining with a menu including local seafood and game. There is also a well-stocked bar with a choice of fine wines and real ales.

Loved this hotel! Not much...

Liked: The views, the quaint feel and sense of community. The staff loved the property so much, I thought 1 of them owned it!
Disliked: I wish we could have stayed to enjoy the serenity of this beautiful hotel.

Liked: Beautiful location. Rooms were clean. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: I accidentally booked a room where the bathroom was downstairs. The stairs were a little steep and hard for going in the middle of the night. That was my fault though. The sitting area was a bit cramped with the furniture.

We had a magical stay...

Liked: Beautiful location, great staff (genial, extremely helpful). Colin was most gracious and patiently answered all our questions about places to visit and mapped out our day for us. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: A bit pricey 😬
