In a picturesque bay in the south of Skye this hotel has beautiful views over the Sound of Sleat and the distant hills of Knoydart. It is also home to the headquarters of the award-winning Gaelic Whiskey company. With log fires in its reception rooms and a wood-paneled dining room where you can enjoy candlelit dinners Hotel Eilean Iarmain retains many traditional features. Its hallway is decorated with stag antlers and a stuffed golden eagle. Rooms have wooden furnishings and some have open fireplaces. Each also features facilities for making tea and coffee and has scenic views from the windows. Suites also feature a TV. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The restaurant offers à la carte dining with a menu including local seafood and game. There is also a well-stocked bar with a choice of fine wines and real ales.

Wonderful location, lovely traditional hotel...

Liked: The roaring open fires in hotel lounge, restaraunt and bar which were kept assidusously topped up were a welcome bonus esp. for chilly winters evenings!
Disliked: Perhaps access to additional room heater to give initial boost before the radiators reached temperature in the lovely executive suites in the external converted barn but not really an issue.

Memorable location and food

Liked: Beautiful setting, delicious food, excellent service
Disliked: Noise from other rooms was only negative about our stay. We could literally hear everything from adjoining rooms.

Liked: This place is in the most beautiful quaint spot! There bar/restaurant is popular as this place . The staff is outstanding Mary, Kate, and Andrea were always so friendly, outgoing, pleasant, and there to offer help. Loved this place…
