Hotel Du Vin Edinburgh

I love this hotel but...

Liked: Fantastic location in a beautiful old building.Staff were very courteous and friendly.
Disliked: The room became stuffy and overly hot at night.The air conditioning only worked on full fan and the kitchen smells came into the room.I had to prop the door open at night where an open window in the corridor saved the day.The dining experience was only very average and no gluten free bread for x2 days meant that I had very limited choice of food at breakfast and for starters. This wasn’t remedied and I was told that it would be.

Disliked: Was a little noisy with our room facing the courtyard and noise from rooms above , but somewhat understandable due to age of building with old timber floors. Could be more in room amenities rather than those bottles used for soap etc

Liked: The room was fantastic, staff were brilliant. Really enjoyed breakfast and the location was perfect for us.
Disliked: Nothing, felt faultless.

Disliked: Drain smell in the corridor on our floor was a bit off putting
