A nice and comfortable hotel....

Liked: Can’t fault it for our short break.
Disliked: The room looked bigger on the Booking.com website

If in York again would...

Liked: A well-appointed, good sized room with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a very good size with plenty of space to put our toiletries etc. Good hot food choice for breakfast and all cooked to order. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The wash basin was aesthetically pleasing but useless to wash or shave in. It was extremely shallow and the water drained away very quickly.There was no shaving mirror.The bath was rather high / deep so quite difficult to get in and out for the more elderly.

Liked: We got a very pleasant welcome from Christina. She also helped me getting the cot bed for my baby and also a bed for my little dog.The room is very pretty and comfortable.
Disliked: The guest also has to pay for the parking.

Liked: Had a lovely sitting room by the bar, cocktails were lovely. Our deluxe room had a mezzanine which was a nice surprise and felt cosy. Beautifully decorated and friendly staff.

Liked: The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with the electric lock on our room and the staff went above and beyond to fix it (in silence whilst our baby slept in the room!) and compensate us for the slight inconvenience. Faye on reception was particularly amazing - thank you Faye!

lovely hotel would ,would stay...

Liked: The room was cosy and the decor was lovely and the bed was so comfy , good shower.the breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold food.Ample parking payable at the hotel ,only a short walk , 10 mins in to york.
Disliked: The coffee machine was a tad cool but that may just be me as i like my coffee hot .
