Very poor

Lovely stay.

Liked: Comfortable room in a wonderful location. Excellent breakfast and lunch.

Superb

Dissapointed.

Liked: Location was good, food in the restaurant was good,
Disliked: Scaffolding around the property for our stay , outside area not tidy and despite the time of year (June) it wasn’t very welcoming. .Poor communication on checking in process, unspent pre -authorisation will not be refunded to us for 10 days????

Liked: This is a stunning hotel. My room was HUGE with large bath and separate large shower. The most comfortable bed. Gowns, slippers, snacks, toiletries - all the best quality. Underfloor heating in the bathroom. Beautiful original features suiting the property but with very modern high spec plumbing etc. The staff were personable and very welcoming.
Disliked: I spent so little time in the room that I couldn't wallow in this luxury for long enough!

Liked: Staff were helpful, bed comfortable. Fairly quiet room, as requested.
Disliked: The hotel was covered in scaffolding, even my window, which did not have a nice view anyway. The room was smaller than expected, with a low ceiling, and the hotel a little shabby. Admittedly, it is a period building. The weather was very warm, and the bathroom was extremely hot, but staff helped me shut off the radiator and turn down the underfloor heating.
