A small room but a...

Liked: Don’t judge the book by its cover, a little rough on the outside but a beautiful hotel on the inside. An affordable solution for our family.
Disliked: No kitchen at all. A small fridge at least would have been nice to keep drinks cold.

Disliked: it takes 10-15 mins till the hot water comes from the shower.

Liked: The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is friendly. The room is small but spacious.
Disliked: Especially for families with children, the lack of a mini bar or refrigerator in the room makes things difficult.

A gem in Lyon!

Liked: Hotel du Simplon is in a fabulous location, within walking distance of sights, yet with a real neighbourhood feel. There are excellent restaurants and bakeries nearby and both rivers are a short walk away. The beds are comfortable, with fabulous pillows and snuggly duvets. Air conditioning works great. Staff is helpful and accommodating, with excellent English. The breakfast room is bright and cheery and the breakfast simple but generous. The building is quirky and homey and there is secure bike parking. We loved Lyon and would stay here again.
Disliked: We spilled something and when we wiped it up, we realized the floor was not very clean.
