Disliked: Furniture seems a bit tired

Broken AC.

Liked: Our unit broke in the middle of the night on our second night of our stay. The room was falteringly hot from 1 AM on. They sent up a technician around 2 AM who couldn’t fix the problem then left to go get tools and came back later. Then still couldn’t get it working. The technician solution was to give us a plug-in fan for the night. The hot summer night felt like 80° in the room. We ended up moving to a different room in the middle of the night. The staff was not very apologetic and only offered us a $50 food credit to our bill which was over $1100 for two nights stay plus one dinner and one breakfast.
Disliked: The AC could’ve worked during a hot summer night

Liked: Very comfortable and classy.
Disliked: In room dining starts at 7 AM and the delivery timing was slower than promised. This could be improved.

Liked: Fantastic location. Lobby and restaurant magnificent. Good food too!
Disliked: It feels a bit cheapened with the renovation. Should have marble bathrooms, not plastic sink countertops. It’s all in the details…

Great hotel but check your...

Liked: I loved the clean big room, huge bathroom and the beautiful hotel. Very nice staff
Disliked: At check-in, I verified that I had booked a reservation 1 year in advance and had paid through booking.com a week in advance. (Paid $461 for 1 night) I left my debit card for incidentals and was notified by my bank, in the middle of a wedding reception, that I was charged $594!!!I had to go to the desk to question this and they said it would be reversed. However, it is a day later and the charge is still pending. This is not right and I do not have access to my cash.I also had an extra valet ticket added to my bill and had to have that adjusted. The car belonged to a relative and not me.

Disliked: No coffee on a Sunday am before 9 am unless you order room service. No coffee maker in a room-- a suite!

Classic hotel in the heart...

Liked: The Hotel Du Pont was a very comfortable, centrally located hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. It's a tad worn around the edges, but still holds much of its old glory. I particularly liked the formal dining room and the spacious rooms. The hotel was clean, comfortable and so quiet. Great choice and worth the expense!
Disliked: Could use a little spiffing up here and there (new coat of paint or lamp shade)

Liked: Staff and building, available car service.
Disliked: Plastic glasses? Cardboard coffee cups that were too tall to fit under the espresso maker? No business center or 24-hour room service.
