Hôtel du Palais de l'Isle

Perfect location for a short...

Liked: We loved our room, it had a little balcony over the canal. The location was perfect! The room itself was small but nicely furnished with everything we needed. It was comfortable and surprisingly quiet inside considering how central the location is.
Disliked: We got there about 10 minutes before the official check in time and the lady on the desk was happy to store our bags but said to come back in half an hour. I mentioned that I thought the check in time was 3pm and she just told me that there are lots of rooms to clean. This wasn’t a massive problem but I found her tone dismissive and she didn’t apologise at all for the delay. When we returned there was another lady at the desk who was much friendlier and made us feel welcome. The only other negative thing was that the bathroom has some mould staining and the vanity was water damage as there is no shower screen.

Great location in Annecy old...

Liked: Location was excellent. Parking is tricky in busy periods in public car parking but is inexpensive and the hotel has vouchers to subsidise it which helps. Breakfast is great and staff very friendly.

Nice hotel but probably wouldn’t...

Liked: Very small hotel and a tiny lift but the building is very old so understandable. I’d probably not stay here again but location and staff were friendly. Parking was a 10min walk away.
Disliked: Very small rooms and lift. But the building is old. Also no Air conditioning so bring a fan when it’s warm.

Liked: The hotel could not be better located in the heart of the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The aircon didn’t work in the room, the fridge didn’t seem to work either and the bar that’s advertised was not great. I asked for wine and to be fair the girl on reception was new but she couldn’t find the wine glasses so we left and went elsewhere.

Liked: Great location. The hotel offered a discount voucher for parking at a nearby carpark. The hotel has a lift and it located in the heart of the old town.
Disliked: The size of the room. The bed took up 95% of the space it was just so tiny.
