The worst hotel experience of...

Liked: location. That's it!
Disliked: I stayed for 2 nights, and they did not clean my room even though the receptionist had previously confirmed that housekeeping usually comes around 11 AM each day. When I found that my room had not been cleaned, I asked the receptionist. She said that the staff had forgotten, and since they had already finished their shifts, they would clean it the next day. But I was checking out the next day. Is this a reasonable way to respond? Then I only requested some new towels.The two complimentary bottles of water were only provided on the first day. No in-room slippers. The elevator was extremely small and only went up to the 4th floor, while my room was on the 5th floor. I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs to the 5th floor. The soundproofing was extremely poor. There was very loud water noise coming from the plumbing system. I couldn’t sleep. Around 4:30 AM, a drunk man was loudly talking to someone else right outside my room. We were woken up and felt very scared. Footsteps on the stairs, doors opening, knocking on other doors, and people talking in the hallway, we could hear everything very clearly. We could not get a good night's sleep during the 2 nights we stayed at this hotel. And, another extremely surprising thing: the bathroom floor had no floor drain. Normally, bathrooms have two drains, 1 inside the shower area and 1 outside for the toilet floor. But there was only 1 drain inside the shower. I sprayed water on the toilet floor to clean my footprints, and later discovered there was no floor drain. As a result, water leaked into the room below. 2 staffs came up to my room with a very annoyed attitude and told me that water had leaked downstairs. I explained that I didn’t know there was no floor drain, they should write a note to inform guests. I have never been to a hotel with a bathroom like this. After I explained, the staff member turned away and cursed. Yes, cursed. This was an extremely rude and disrespectful attitude toward guests.

Liked: Stayed here many times never complain as you know what you are getting for your money. This time though breakfast has been changed slightly and there was no Yoghurts or fruit and only 1 cereal to choose from so on that front a let down this time and ended eating out everyday. Fresh towels everyday and the room has a kettle in, so all is good
Disliked: Breakfast wasn't like it used to be - no yoghurts or fruit and there was only one cereal to have as before there was always a selection. There was no orange juice either to have like before.

Basic but sufficient

Liked: Great location, very near to Dam Square. Bed was comfy and pretty clean. Very basic but that is what we expected, and it sufficed. Breakfast was very basic continental but again, sufficed. Staff were pleasant.
Disliked: Room was a tad tired, curtains were messy, could do with a spruse up. It was quite noisy (not from the main street..from doors banging inside the hotel).
