Hotel Don Quijote Plaza - Guadalajara Centro Historico

Passable

Liked: The location was convenient and within walking distance of many historical sights and restaurants. The hotel courtyard was nice.
Disliked: The room was not without flaws. The only electrical outlet was next to the sink and it wasn't properly grounded for that location. There was a small step you had to take to get to the sink and toilet which was a trip hazard and toe stumper. There were no lamps in the room. Lights were all overhead ceiling lights. The mattress was hard and lumpy. The furniture though Spanish Colonial style was old and outdated. The toilet seat would not stay up. If you had to sit on the toilet - the toilet lid would brush against your back. The safe was inoperable. The only window faced onto the courtyard sidewalk so no privacy while curtains were open. Large bags of trash were left on the grondfloor of the courtyard. I realized the purpose of the shower drain stopper and sink stopper after not putting it back - it was used to help prevent drain flies from swarming.

Great location in the centre...

Liked: This hotel is in a great location near the historic centre of Guadalajara. The cathedral is a 5 minute walk away.
Disliked: The rooms open onto a central courtyard - you don't get a window to the outside.
