Hotel des Celestins

A pleasant old nook in...

Liked: This property reminded me of an old style hotel in the middle of an upscale neighbourhood. I was pleasantly welcomed by a member of staff upon checking in. She was lovely and welcoming, also provided a map to assist in planning what I was going to do in Lyon. The room was tidy, although looked like it hadn’t been finished setting up. This was evident when two different staff members called in at 2 different times to finished setting up the room. Although this was a little annoying, both staff were lovely (and shared a joke), so we didnt mind. Air conditioning was provided throughout the one night stay which was a god send! I would definitely stay here again. To note, if you have heavy bags, there is no elevator. Another plus is that the nearest Metro is only a couple hundred metres away.
Disliked: The only downside was not staying here for a little longer which I will do in the future!

Wonderful characterful hotel in beautiful...

Liked: Gorgeous characterful hotel in a perfect location in the historic centre, staff were super lovely and all really good quality.
Disliked: The mattress was really firm - too much for me, so I didn’t sleep well, but great quality bedding.

Fabulous location and helpful staff

Liked: Quaint clean rooms, family room for 4 adults and plenty of room. Close to shops, transport and restaurants
