Good, if you don't have...

Liked: Quirky hotel in good location. Love the artsy decor.
Disliked: Can't decide if the low ceiling bathroom or 4th level tight staircase was worse. In our attic room, could not stand up in shower (over bath) and sitting in bath you bump onto the taps. Room was not made into twin beds as pre-requested, we had to do it ourselves.No kettle.

Liked: Loved this charming French hotel full of atmosphere and gorgeous memorabilia. Staff so helpful
Disliked: Nothing

Busy bees!

Liked: We loves the oldie-worldie decor, the charm of the building and antiquities, the roof terrace, the central location and the juliette balcony.
Disliked: The staircase to the third floor was a bit challenging, creaky floorboards and there was a little bit of black mould starting in the shower that the cleaning team need to get on top of and treat before it gets worse.

Lots of character

Liked: Lovely old hotel, full of character, with interesting decor, paintings and furniture. Our room was attractive and spacious, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. It was close to the roof terrace, which is set out with plants and seating. The location was great for easy access to the station, cathedral, museums and river. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Although we knew that there was no lift, the climb to the fourth floor, with another set of stairs inside our room were quite challenging. Our room, 403, had a bath with a shower attachment, but a low angled ceiling and no curtain, necessitating sitting in the bath to shower. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again but worth knowing if you were booking. Like other reviewers, we’d have liked a kettle in the room.

Disliked: the room was very hot, even with the window wide open which then let in a lot of loud street noise

Lovely place and people. Could...

Liked: Beautiful building. Perfectly clean room with crisp linen. Very helpful receptionist who guided us to sights and places to eat for our quick one night stay
Disliked: Parking was tricky although we fell lucky in the end to park on the same street
