Liked: helpful friendly service. Good breakfast. Nice quiet courtyard

Lovely hotel in a great...

Liked: Bar was lovely with the outside terrace. Rooms were adequate. Staff was great. Especially Nelson and the early morning desk clerk.
Disliked: Cobblestone entry. Hard to maneuver the suitcases.

Great location but very overpriced...

Liked: Great location. Small but pretty rear garden - when it was open. Salon on ground floor is comfortable.
Disliked: Reception staff unfriendly. Room and bathroom tiny and decoration / fittings very tired. The reference to the ‘large’ double bed in our room description was misleading. It was definitely a ‘small double’ bed. Finally our room was number 45 on the top (fourth) floor from which there is no accessible fire escape. Should the main staircase become inaccessible eg due to thick smoke, the top floor residents would be trapped. The absence of a suitable fire escape route beyond the main staircase was surprising.
