Hotel De La Paix

The place can be improved...

Liked: The hotel was well located close to the historical center. The breakfast was limited but the personnel serving were very friendly. A kind of antique decoration which made the atmosphere interesting.
Disliked: Bathroom was extremely old and could be kept in better conditions. Toilet faucet needed to be kept close so that it would not start making water pressure noises whilst not used (very annoying in the evening). No air conditioner.

Cute place. Fan in room...

Liked: Staff was great, it was clean, good breakfast, good location coming in by train.
Disliked: Mosquitoes in the room that bit us as we slept. No AC.

Great location with warm and...

Liked: It was only a ten minute walk from the train station and the hotel sent me very good directions to follow. It is right in the centre of Lille with everything on your doorstep. We didn't have breakfast, but did see the room it was served in and it was small, but lovely. The staff were so warm and welcoming.
Disliked: You left your key with the receptionist when you went out and asked for it when coming back. I didn't like this, because the staff who checked us in changed shifts, so the new ones had no way of knowing if we were the real people staying in that room.

Excellent value and location

Liked: Great location, characterful rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: Rooms a little hot although I imagine it is rarely 35 degrees like it was during our stay! Good mosquito shutters etc.

Liked: Location was very central- close to the train station and sights! Spacious room and Staff were very accommodating

Liked: Amazing location and superb value for money, clean and very welcoming staff.
Disliked: No aircon was the only downside but for rhe money I wouldn’t expect to get it

Disliked: A small criticism that the room was very hot - but we were given a fan as soon as we asked for one, so it is a minor thing

Liked: I very much appreciated how friendly and helpful the hotel staff were. I also enjoyed the hotel's traditional interior and its location, which is very close to good restaurants and tourist hotspots. The breakfast was also excellent.
Disliked: The only thing I would modernise is the bathrooms. This would make the hotel more sustainable and improve the experience for guests even further.
