Great location but in desperate...

Liked: The location was excellent with walking distance to all main attractions. Parking was also good, although, spaces could be filled up pretty quickly on a busy wkend.
Disliked: We had to change the room as there was a cockroach in the bathroom. The ‘new’ room was poorly equipped for self-catering apartment. One of the wardrobes was falling apart, dangerous, as the top nearly fell on my head. Didn’t even try to use the hob as it looked unsafe.

Liked: Location is perfect and the staff is great
Disliked: Parking area is a little tight...small vehicles recommended

I’d stay here again for...

Liked: Very comfortable and safe with great character to boot. Fair price. Feels like it has a lot of history, has older furnishings but it’s not dingy or decrepit. Across the street from Jazz history museum and close to tons of music venues on Decatur and Frenchman. Parking garage underneath(not big enough for everyone if the hotel is full, but I had a spot). Nice communal balcony and shaded pool area(very small pool).
Disliked: My room didn’t have a lot of windows, so just OK for hanging out in.

Superb

Liked: Thoughtful attention to having comfortable accommodations.

Will be back

Liked: Loved the hotel vibe and location. Full size coffee maker and a toaster.
Disliked: Pots and pans needed updated.

Perfect Birthday get-away

Liked: My daughter brought me for my 50th birthday and this hotel was perfect.The room was the perfect size for me and her with the little kitchenette and to have an actual bedroom and a sleeper sofa made it so roomy and comfortable,and the price very good.Ms.Susan the host at the front desk was so sweet absolutely amazing she went above and beyond to make this the best stay I have ever had at a hotel.She recommended and helped book the ghost tours and swamp tours for us and gave us great recommendations to restaurants just well beyond her job.I would like to thank her for that.The hotel was the perfect location just a corner walk to Frenchmen Street.I will absolutely be back and I would recommend 10 out of 10 to my friends and family.Thank you Ms Susan and Hotel de la Monnaie.

Liked: It was cool looking, staff was great, location was good.
Disliked: I had 4 rooms, cabinet in one the door wouldn't close, stove in one the burners weren't connected and outdated. Few other things like that.
