Disliked: Only (slight) downside was the coffee machine in room didn’t work and shower not amazing, but in general really good place.

Liked: Well appointed rooms , spacious and comfortable in a lovely neighbourhood. Friendly and helpful staff. De Hallen is our home away from home and we are always made to feel very welcome! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam ! Location is terrific too ! Very central and easy to get around by foot or tram.
Disliked: Although the beds are super comfortable , my personal preference is for softer pillows. Its not a complaint , just a preference.

Liked: Nothing, horrible hotel... this is a scam
Disliked: They don't write on the description that the rooms are with a glass wall looking inside the building, and there are no opening windows. You are in a closed box, and if you are claustrophobic, you can not sleep there. The picture of the rooms are misleading because they never show the window without curtains so the you can't understand that they cannot be opened.As soon as we saw the room, I asked the reception to have another room with a normal window, but they said that the hotel was fully booked. On my complaint about the missing information on the rooms description, they said that they are not responsible for what Booking write on their site (not true). I contacted Booking support for the first time, but they were not able to contact the hotel (no answer), so we had to find another hotel.We finally found (at 23:00) another hotel in Amsterdam and checked out from this hotel. So we didn't use the hotel at all, but they still refuse to give us any refund, and they never answer to the Booking support service.Stay away from this hotel! It is a scam, and the description and picture of the rooms are fake and misleading.
