Lots of potential.
Liked: Fantastic location in the centre of Narbonne. The owner had only taken over the hotel one week before our stay. The rooms were clean, but very outdated, which will obviously be addressed and made up to modern standards soon.Breakfast was very good, but the breakfast room again was very tired. The owner told us, that she would start the renovation work here soonest.
Disliked: Perhaps it would have been better to close for a couple of months to upgrade the hotel, instead of doing it bit by bit.

Charming hotel with a gracious host.
Liked: Vincent, the proprietor, was wonderfully kind, helpful, and attentive--the perfect host. Breakfasts featured fresh, local ingredients. The room was comfortable, with temperatures guests can control with a clicker. Location could not have been better, within close walking distance of a number of restaurants and the city market.
Disliked: There were not enough electric outlets, and the tub/shower was high-sided, really needing a grab bar. (I should qualify this by saying that there was a note in the room indicating it was part of an ongoing program of refurbishment, so these issues may be addressed during that process). All the bedrooms are up at least one flight of stairs, with no elevator (guests with mobility challenges or a lot of luggage should take note).
