Liked: Very good place in Center of Lyon. Good to stay 2-3 nights and get acquainted with old Lyon. Many good restaurants, bistro and bars near to the hotel.

Disliked: The property appeared run-down from the outside and was extremely dark inside. The narrow hallways were not clean and smelled unpleasant. The front desk area looked more like a flophouse than a legitimate hotel as presented on Booking.com.We were informed upon arrival that there was no lift to the fourth-floor room, no air conditioning, and extremely poor lighting throughout. The front desk attendant told us all amenities were listed on the website and offered no assistance. He also informed us that he was leaving the property for the evening and that there would be no night staff or security—nor anyone present the following day.We were handed a small piece of paper with an access code to enter and exit the building, which did not feel secure, especially with no staff on duty.The room itself had no window, only a tiny fan—while temperatures outside reached 125 degrees Fahrenheit. The stairs were steep, narrow, and winding. While carrying my heavy luggage up and down, I fell and injured my right leg and hip.When we realized this property was completely unsuitable, the hallway lights failed to turn on for two floors. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to navigate the hazardous stairs. We were in the room for less than five minutes before finding and booking an alternate property through Booking.com.I have since returned to the United States and have a doctor’s appointment scheduled due to ongoing pain in my leg and hip caused by this incident.

It's got everything you need

Liked: Obviously not the hilton or four seasons, but met all my needs as a solo traveller who's still in uni. Clean, safe, located in the middle of the city, got all I needed. Wish there were more hotels like this.
Disliked: There was a massive fan in the room but no A/C -- visited late June so it was boiling.

Liked: We did not have breakfast. The location was very good as far as accessing the activities we were interested in.
Disliked: Towels were not replaced or room serviced at all during our stay. Staff offered little or no information services and really were not helpful or sociable. Because the fan was an absolute necessity due to the high temperatures there was only one wall plug available for use in charging.
