Simply as one would expect...

Liked: Everything excellent standard. Superbe breakfast. We stay here every year because it is consistently good. Restaurant menu an improvement on last year too.
Disliked: Nothing

Fantastic place and excellent service

Liked: Fantastic beautiful place in a fully renovated XVI century castle right in the heart of the city. Excellent friendly and helpful team. Possibly one of the best places to stay
Disliked: I wish the pool & sauna area was open outside of 9am-7pm, otherwise it’s quite impossible to use it if you leave early in the morning to enjoy the city and get back when the area is already closed

Elegant, well-maintained hotel with excellent...

Liked: Swimming pool is the best we've had at any hotel in France so far, large enough to swim laps; and the rest of the spa facilities were also very good. Central lively location is perfect, a short walk from the train station, the open market, cafes and restaurants, etc., and yet quiet and peaceful inside. The building is a jewel, and the common areas of the hotel are elegant and well maintained. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and efficient.
Disliked: Not a fan of the transparent glass shower wall - prefer privacy. Standard room is quite small; if available we would likely book a larger room in future.

A fabulous stay. We really...

Liked: We were very lucky to be given an upgraded room free of charge. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and efficient and helpful with any queries. The facilities at the hotel were fabulous, such as valet parking, swimming pool and sauna. The hotel room was well equipped with water, tea and coffee making facilities as well as robes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen and towels were good quality.
Disliked: The breakfast was OK but the staff were very busy and were not always available to help. Some items of food had run out and were not replenished such as the croissants and pastries.

Liked: Beautiful historic building outside and location was in a pretty square close to the sights. Panelling in the bedroom. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: It hides the fact that it is a Marriott and the corporate styling is evident. The traditional style room that we stayed in is really another way of saying outdated. Separate Loo did not have a washbasin. Worst breakfast ever - this is no 5 star hotel. Hair in the cream cheese.

Amazing experience to stay in...

Liked: It’s definitely a special place to stay. It has all the good qualities which 5 star hotels are expected to have, but this hotel also has something else. Going through its impressive gate into the courtyard from a buzzing square just outside the hotel for the first time is quite an experience. Despite its poshness, it has an air of something relaxing and easy-going. Its location is perfect for sight-seeing and shopping, and just enjoying life.
Disliked: Because it’s a historic building, finding your room might be tricky.
