A pleasant stay

Liked: Set in a lovely forest just outside Arnhem, the hotel was large with all amenities, including swimming pool and sauna. It was beautifully decorated. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable. There wasn’t a huge choice on the restaurant evening menu but the food was good. The restaurant was quite chilly though with the air conditioning.

More like a two star....

Disliked: Self service vending machine bar. Had to have gin and tonic from can. No glasses or ice and lemon. Next morning , breakfast ended at 10.30 without warning but we’d been told 11 by reception in evening before. Pool shut for 1.5/2 hours for cleaning at post breakfast peak time. No maid service unless you go online and ask for it. But you don’t get told that. Hot water off for half an hour in the morning so cold shower. Next day, sauna not hot. Apparently you have to pre arrange them to heat it. And they charge you for towels and slippers for sauna even though we paid almost 1000 euros for our two rooms. Could not open balcony door at night in our suite as the room next door had full access to the same balcony. Air con was pumping out hot air no matter the setting and room temp was 22. Breakfast food was nice but way too busy buffet with long queue for coffee. Then expected to clear away your own plates and stack in dirty buckets!!!

Liked: The location of this hotel is really nice—right in the forest near the Veluwe, which is great for walks and relaxing in nature. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Overall, a good place if you want to be close to nature.
Disliked: The facilities are average. The table tennis table was old and broken, and the swimming pool was just fine.
