Great old fashioned characterful hotel...

Liked: Good location in the town. It is an older hotel and is physically connected to other buildings so you do get noise interactions from them. The hotel itself has character and at one time would have been one of the main hotels around. For me it is nice to experience the different types of accommodation. As a solo cyclist and staying for one night it suited my needs. The receptionist was excellent and the breakfast good value.
Disliked: The duvet was too hot when used but it was too cold without it. Similar duvets seems to be used in a lot of the hotels/apartments I stayed.

Liked: My room was fabulous, clean and very comfortable for my short stay.

Food value for money

Wrong expectation, I do not...

Liked: Location: The hotel is in the town centre, close to all shops and restaurants.
Disliked: The room was not great, full of spiderwebs, there were no curtains in the windows (the room was on the 1st floor!), the floor was broken, the wall stained. The window was dirty. The bathroom tiles were full of man hair (I stayed for 3 days and no one cleaned that). I was given a little shampoo bottle and a soap, nothing else. The room doesn't have any tea, coffee, not even a bottle of water or a kettle. The breakfast is 10 euros per day, I was told it was a "continental breakfast", in reality the breakfast is not great, not a lot of choice..yougurts, cold pancakes, bread, a few jams and things like that. Coffee is not great. I was very disappointed about this hotel as it is not what it looks from the pictures.

Disliked: Very noisy at night - not the fault of the hotel but rather a cleanup crew tidying up recycle bins on the street just outside of our window that lasted late into the night
