Pleasant enough, but quite expensive...

Liked: Good location, clearly popular with both locals and tourists. Rooms pleasant, although the lack of air conditioning was a shame. Furnishings a little tired and the lack of bath Matt made for quite a risky shower experience. Restaurant and bar was good.
Disliked: Needs a little updating. Staff of two extremes; warm and friendly meets cold and aloof !

Disliked: Old hotel - didn't expect a great room. Got upgraded to a suite as I booked and paid for 3 rooms. No refrigerator in the room and just some old portable fans, so that was disappointing. Unlikely I will pay their rates to stay again. And because there was a festival in the Town the night we stayed they closed the restaurant - Really!

Liked: Location was good next to old town, food, tesco. 20 min walk from train station. Tables at the front in the sun were nice Parking
Disliked: Room was hot, bedroom had a fan but the bathroom had no ventilation and was stuffySome of the sockets weren’t working No conditioner No luggage rack Not 4 star quality, 3 star more like it

Liked: Lovely room decor. Very clean and our dog was welcome.
Disliked: A maintenance man was repairing the door next to us just after 8 in the morning. Bit noisy.

Superb

Liked: Excellent location, staff very efficient and friendly.
Disliked: Air conditioning would have been amazing on this very very hot weekend, but the hotel pre-emptively provided fans for the rooms without being requested, and the heat didn’t prevent sleep.

Liked: Good location in the old town with its own restaurant but many restaurants n bars close by , well appointed room with ample space, Helpful friendly staff
Disliked: Small car park for the amount of room and NO BLOODY LIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
