Superb

A fantastic hotel run by...

Liked: Fantastic hotel- staff were so helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant on an evening was superb!The ‘honesty box’ system was a really great idea. Very secure bike storage, lovely pool and the refurbished rooms were great. Loved the sound system. Definitely will be back!
Disliked: Nothing!

Decent hotel but be careful...

Liked: Good sized room, secure bike storage facility available, good terrace area, honesty bar service was good. Most of the staff were very kind and nice.
Disliked: We hired road bikes for the duration of our stay but was told the secure bike storage spaces were full and as we did not notify the hotel before our arrival that we would have bikes with us, it is our fault. As bike storage was listed as a service on the hotel’s website and it was not stated on the hotel website or on the hotel’s page on booking.com that we had to make such request prior to arrival, I argued that it is not the guest’s fault for not knowing that this is a requirement. If it was a requirement, I suggested that the hotel could’ve either made it clear on their listing and / or messaged guests beforehand to check. The reply I received from the receptionist was that this is a suggestion I have to make to booking.com and it is not the hotel’s responsibility. It all caused for unnecessarily unpleasant and time wasting experience and I maintain that guests cannot be expected to know of a requirement they are not notified of. Having said all this, the staff were quick to find a solution within the day and found us alternative bike storage space. The manager also apologised for this encounter and generally the staff have been very kind and nice. The fridge in our room was leaking when we arrived but this was also quickly rectified. It is a 20-30 min walk to Girona old town. There is a bus service but it can be infrequent.

I liked the place, friendly staff. room was clean.

Liked: Room was very clean we liked it. We didn't have breakfast. "Kinda" walkable to the historical places by walk (20 minitues+ walk from hotel). We didn't have a car, but I think they have a big parking lot which is very easily accessible to the hotel, so if you're a driving tourist, I think this place is perfect - if we come back next time here, I'd bring a car instead of walking. It is pet friendly place so we could stay with our little doggies :) and the hotel prepared a big dog mat and bowl for them! :) Overall, good to stay with your furry friends.
Disliked: The location was good for car driving, but by bus, it was not too good. as there are more or less 2 buses going from main train station to the hotel. But the bus operates only every 1 hour. Very hard to find the right time. It is walkable from hotel to the historical places (20 minitues+) but the walking road is not too pedestrian friendly, it is walking sideway of car lines, not too safe and not too fun walking. During our stay, our room didn't have an access to wifi and TV, but it was not really a problem to us - it was more tech/internet detox :)
