Nice location, friendly staff, quaint...

Liked: Charming, centrally located. Free parking at back. Nice to get a $4.50 voucher per person for breakfast.
Disliked: Our room looked nothing like the photos. Instead of two twin beds, it was a trundle on a metal frame that was very uncomfortable and hard to maneuver. The bathroom did not have a tub, but was a wet shower room, which felt like being on a boat. It was very uncomfortable and dingy. A freight train passed by our room at all hours of the night. Because our room faced the main street, due to the street lights and no blackout blinds, our room was quite bright all through the night as well.

Liked: No breakfast. Large comfortable room. Desk person was great & helpful for food. Very close to our event.

Liked: We stayed there for a race as there weren't many options and the hotel that night was booked. It was fairly close to the starting area! Enjoyed the free parking. There was a free breakfast, but we had to check out early due to the race and didn't get to the breakfast. It was quaint, our room had a unique configuration and served its purpose for a quick night stay.
Disliked: Being a historical site you have to overlook a few things such as some leaks in the roof (there were a few places where a bucket was in the hall) and there was a bit of a musty smell, but not terrible.

Disliked: The whole place needs to be updatedAir conditioner in sitting room didn’t workThere was 5 windows in the whole unit only one screen to utilize window in bedroom Lightning was horrible in the unit Where the cable wire came out of wall from one room to another needs to be closed up. That’s how mice and rodents get from one room to another. I took Kleenex to clog the holes Chairs is sitting room was very uncomfortable.

A Must Visit Hotel -...

Liked: Excellent friendly staff, quiet location, quick drive to the Balloon Festival.
Disliked: If I had to pick something the elevator is very slow. But honestly it’s a beautiful restored hotel and I love it.
